This particular example was completed on September 8th of 1992 and was originally finished in Speed Yellow. This was the same color of the prototype car that Porsche debuted at Geneva in 1992 and continues to display at the museum collection in Zuffenhausen.
The interior was upholstered in black and gray leather, highlighted by contrasting sections of yellow on the seats, safety belts, shift boot, and steering wheel. It is devoid of power steering, a radio, or air-conditioning.
The car was sold on October 29th of 1992 through Porsche Zentrum Leipzig to its first owner, the Salmon family of Weissenthurm, Germany. It was registered to their company, Weiland Handelsges, MBH, until 1997, when it was transferred into Birgit Salmon's personal name.
The Salmon family used the car sparingly. In 2015, it was sold to its current owner. At the time of purchase, it had just 2,213 km on its odometer.
