2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 3.8 Coupe

In 2009, Porsche introduced the second-generation 997. The engine in the GT3 RS was enlarged to 3.8 liters and produced 450 horsepower. It was mated to a six-speed transaxle with shorter gears and could race from zero-to-sixty mph in just 3.9 seconds. Top speed was nearly 200 mph, at 196 mph. Porsche had made many modifications to the GT3 RS, including to the handling by using dynamic engine mounts, revised aerodynamics, a larger carbon-fiber rear wing with aluminum supports, and a wider rear track. It was given a unique Porsche Active Suspension Management setup, 9-inch wheels fitted with 245/35 ZR 19 tires up front, and wide 12-inch rear wheels with 325/30 ZR 19 tires. An optional lightweight lithium-ion battery was available.

The GT3, starting from 199, was designed to homologate the 911 GT3 RS and RSR race cars that competed in international competition. Various developments of the GT3 repeatedly broke Nürburgring's Nordschleife (North Loop) production car lap record. The U.S. customers had to wait until 2004 to purchase the 911 GT3 and the GT3 RS (RennSport) variant.

In 2011, just 541 examples were produced. This particular example has been owned from new by Caitlyn Jenner. It is finished in Grey Black paint over black leather, and offset by Guards Red graphics and wheels. It was purchased new from The Auto Gallery in Los Angeles, California. Factory options included on the car are Porsche carbon-ceramic brakes, sport bucket seats, deviating stitch color on the seats and dashboard, and interior carbon fiber trim.

This GT3 RS 3.8 has been driven less than 16,600 miles from new.
