1997 Porsche 911 Coupe

The Turbocharged Porsche 911s debuted in the mid-1970s and were aggressively styled with flared fender and whale tail rear spoiler. The 911 Turbo became more refined and more powerful over the years, and even though it became faster, it was easier to drive aggressively.

The 993 generation Turbo has about 150 more horsepower than the original. The two decades' worth of engineering development and the adoption of all-wheel drive allowed this grand touring supercar to be equally suited for city traffic, deserted mountain roads, and the race track.

Zero-to-sixty sprints were accomplished in the 4-second range and it had a top speed of about 180 mph.

This particular example was special-ordered in Polar Silver with a Boxster Red leather interior. It was given a six-speed manual transaxle, xenon headlights, a power sunroof, dual power seats, metal door sills, a factory-upgraded audio system, and factory-sourced, dealer-installed carbon fiber dash trim. It has its complete original tool kit, all the original books and manuals, the original window sticker, original Bill of Sale, both original keys with remotes, car cover, and an introductory video cassette.

The car was purchased new by a Southern California businessman who owned it for nearly 18 years before trading it towards a new Porsche 911 GT3 in January of 2015.

Currently, the Porsche 993 Turbo has just over 1,000 miles on its odometer.

Power is from a 3608cc twin-turbocharged SOHC flat-6 cylinder engine with Bosch Port Fuel injection offering 400 horsepower. There is a 6-speed manual transaxle and four-wheel ventilated cross-drilled disc brakes.
