1956 Jaguar XK-140 Convertible

This Old English White car, owned by Stephanie Smith, is the MC designation (known as SE elsewhere) used only in North America. The 'M' denotes modified and 'C' refers to the C-Type cylinder head and used on the racing C-Type. Horsepower in the MC version is rated at 210 BHP thanks, in part, to the performance head option with its bigger valves and improved porting. On this particular car, both the engine block and head stampings match, and are believed to be original.

It is believed that the prior North California owner retained the car for three decades. During that time, it was given a professional repaint and fitted with a new blue interior and top in 2006, and it is believed to have undergone a full engine rebuild at the same time. The brakes have been upgraded to four-wheel discs, behind 16-inch chrome wire 'knock-off' wheels shod in Coker Classic whitewall radial tires. Other features include front and rear bumper overriders, dual fender-mounted wing mirrors, a telescopic steering wheel, and driving lights.

The odometer shows 924 miles which is presumably since the completion of the restoration.
