This example was assembled on a 1963 Beetle chassis by Haddock, a Santa Ana-based fabricator. It has its original Volkswagen engine with a period-correct increase in displacement size to 1,776 cubic-centimeters. It was given a Weber progressive 32/36 carburetor. There is an original Manx Sidewinder exhaust with a custom muffler. The body is made of fiberglass and is infused with a gel coat of the original metallic purple paint. The original front and rear Myers Manx bumpers are installed, and an EMPI skid plate is fitted to the rear.
This Meyers Manx rides on custom-fabricated and period-correct Volkswagen wheels, which measure 14 inches in the front and 15 inches in the rear.
