1926 Franklin Model llA Coupe

The Series 11 Franklins featured the company's first low profile design which was a radical change from previous designs which had the tilting 'Wilkinson Hood', replaced by a false radiator front and traditional center-hinged hood. The Series 11 was the first air-cooled Franklin to use a false radiator shutter front. Earlier designs had been based on Wilkinson's proven 'Form Follows Function' axiom. Along with new designs, several new body styles were introduced including the 'tandem sports', and the 'boat tail sport runabout.'

The Series 11 had similar engines to earlier models however copper fins were used on the cylinders in place of steel, offering upgraded cooling, higher compression, and additional power.

This Franklin 11A Victoria Coupe wears a quality older restoration that dates back to around the 1960s. The Victoria has optional quarter windows. The engine is a 199 cubic-inch air-cooled 6-cylinder unit fitted with a single updraft carburetor and offering 33 horsepower. There is a three-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel mechanical drum brakes.
