1997 Bentley Continental T Saloon

The Bentley Continental T was a short-wheelbase version of the Continental R. It was introduced in June of 1996 and came equipped with a 400 horsepower engine and rode on 18-wheels. The low-slung Continental T was a thoroughbred Bentley sports car offering both performance, luxury and aggressively elegant styling. Zero-to-sixty mph took just 5.8 seconds and it had a (governor limited) top speed of 155 mph. Equally impressive was its $324,500 sticker price at the time of launch.

This particular example was built in May of 1997 and sent to the United States two months later to be delivered to its first owner in southern Florida in mid-October. It was finished in black with two-tone soft tan and black interior. Among being one of the most expensive cars on the market, it was also the most powerful Bentley one could buy in 1997.

Its first owner was a Florida resident and by the time it was sold to its second, Colorado owner in April of 2000 the car had over 8,000 miles on it. Bouncing between Colorado, California, and Florida, the Bentley was acquired by the current owner in early 2015 with just over 29,000 miles on the odometer. Currently, the car has 30,500 miles.

Total production of Continental T's of all varieties (including the special editions) resulted in 350 examples.
