1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Hardtop Coupe

1972 marked a new era for the Continental Mark IV. With updated styling, Lincoln took direct aim at the Cadillac Eldorado. While the Mark IV shared many of the drivetrain and suspension components with the Ford Thunderbird, it utilizes distinct body styling and a long list of premium features. The hidden headlights and the signature Continental style rear decklid assure there is no mistaking this car for its more common Ford brother.

All Mark IVs were assembled at the Wixom, Michigan assembly plant alongside the standard Continental models and the Thunderbird. The standard engine is the 460 cubic inch V8 backed by the C6 automatic transmission. This Mark IV is an unrestored original with just 35,000 miles on the odometer. The Triple White beauty has a leather interior with Tobacco inserts, cornering lamps, automatic speed control, a tilt steering column, and an AM/FM stereo radio.
