1958 Bentley Continental S1 Navigation
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and its Bentley equivalent, the S-Type, were introduced in 1955 as replacements for the aging Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn and Bentley R-Type. For the first time since Rolls-Royce acquired Bentley their models shared the same silky smooth 6-cylinder, 4887cc engine.
This Bentley S-Type was sent to H.J. Mulliner to be fitted with two-door convertible coachwork. The car was the last of five left-hand drive aluminum-bodied Bentley S-Type Convertibles built by Mulliner. It was ordered through Rolls-Royce of New York for John D. Rockefeller Jr., and it has been enjoyed by several careful and caring owners during its life.
