1931 Cadillac Series 355-A Eight Navigation
In 1931, the V-8 Model 355-A replaced the Series 353 with a decidedly sleeker, sportier design. The 355-A had a 5-port hood, metal floorboards, a single-bar bumper, smaller headlights, an oval instrument panel, and other slight deviations setting it apart from the earlier car. The 353 CID engine was unchanged, but the chassis was brand new, featuring divergent side rails and the chassis was equipped with new springs and revised brakes.
This Cadillac 355A has been kept in a private museum for many years. It remains in barn-find condition, and features the original Cadillac drivetrain with its 353 CID V8 engine featuring high compression heads and backed by a manual transmission. It has its original trunk, luggage rack, and spoke wheels, as well as most of its original paint and interior. This 4-door sedan has 67,214 original miles.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2017
