1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Navigation
This 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost has coachwork by Barker in Roi des Belges configuration. The first Silver Ghost left the Derby factory in 1907 and would remain in production until 1925, when British production ceased. A total of 6000 examples were created, with 1703 units being produced in the United States between 1921 and 1926.
When introduced, the Silver Ghost had a six liter engine that displaced just over seven liters and produced nearly 50 horsepower. They featured a press lubricated crankshaft designed by Henry Royce and mounted on seven bearings, which gave the engine uniformity and balance. Braking was managed by rear drum brakes.
