The BMW Z07 Concept, designed by Chris Bangle, Henrik Fisker, and Scott Lempert, was followed by a limited-edition production version dubbed the BMW Z8. Powering the Z8 was a 4.9-liter V8 engine developed by the BMW Motorsport division. It featured an all-aluminum space frame and coachwork, and offered exceptional acceleration, handling, and braking.
This particular example was built in November of 2002, which was the last month of Z8 production before the model evolved into the Alpina V8 Roadster. It was imported to California on January 12th of 2003 and remained there from new until the current caretaker acquired the car in June of 2010.
