1961 Facel Vega HK500 Hardtop Coupe

Approximately 490 examples of the HK500 were built from the late 1950s through mid-1961. This particular example was originally delivered to the United States and sold by Peter Satori of Pasadena, California. This car may have been sold to Frank Sinatra's Reprise Records, though this account remains uncorroborated.

In 1970, it was acquired by Gabriel Estrada of Los Angeles, who used it sparingly for six years before putting it into storage until 2010. It was then acquired by its current caretaker. It was then treated to a comprehensive restoration, including a rebuild of the engine and transmission. It has been refinished in the factory-correct color Brunswick Blue. The interior was re-trimmed in the proper red leather with blue piping. Upgrades include dual-circuit power brakes, power windows, and modern in-dash air-conditioning.
