1934 Lincoln Model KB Series 271 Navigation
For 1934, Lincoln adopted a single new V-12 for both its top-of-the-line KB and its smaller KA models. They had a cruciform double-drop chassis frame with the KA having a 136-inch wheelbase and a 145-inch platform for the KB. The other major difference was in the available body styles. The KB could be fitted with custom coachwork, but many coachworks coachworks took advantage of the 'semi-custom' offerings that were produced for Lincoln by the East Coast's custom coachbuilders and catalogued by the factory. These bodies could be finished to the specifications of their new owners, at a price lower than a 'full custom' body.

This particular example is a Convertible Sedan style number 281. This design was created by Raymond Dietrich and built by his imprint of Briggs Manufacturing. They featured a vee'd windshield and a convertible top. 25 examples of this style were produced in 1934.

This example has resided for many years in a prominent Midwestern collection. It has recently been given a full mechanical rebuild. Otherwise, it remains in original condition, including both the factory-applied paint and interior.
