Aston Martin DB3S/9 first raced in 1956 at Rouen. Driven by a young Peter Collins, it sported new faired-in headlamps, a revised air-intake and a streamlined headrest. The following year at LeMans it finished second, driven once again by Collins and Stirling Moss. That same year Moss drove it to victory at Oulton Park, Roy Salvadori came in second at Goodwood, and Tony Brooks came third at Goodwood's Easter meeting.
