This Ford powered Lola T160 S/N SL160/4 was raced by All American Racers Dan Gurney and Swede Savage in the 1968 Can-Am series. It was powered by a Ford engine. Jerry Hansen purchased the car from AAR in 1969 and won the Black Hawk National that year fitted with a Chevrolet engine. The car was then briefly owned and raced by Fred Baker who sold the car to Orly Thornsjo who raced the car throughout the 1970 season. The car was then raced by various club racers until purchased by the current owner in 2005. In 1999 the car was awarded the 'Best Original Can-Am Car 1966-1969' trophy at the Road America Can-Am Thunder event.
The car was then raced by various club racers until the current owner purchased the car in 2005.
The car has just completed a restoration incorporating a period correct tail with flared fenders that was unique to this car and it is now powered by a Ford engine consistent with its original configuration. The engine is a 427 cu. in. V-8 and develops 600 horsepower.
