    1947 HRG 1500 Navigation
The HRG company was formed in 1936 and named after the designers, Halford, Robins & Godfrey. The trio opened their firm after the closure of the Frazer-Nash company. The car was intended as a 'gentleman racer' which could participate in either sporting or social events.

In 1946, the company began production of its two-seater model, featuring the Meadows engine displacing 1.5 liters and producing 60 horsepower. This car was imported by a college student at MIT, David Goodwill. It was sold to John T. Horne, of Briarcliff, NY around 1970. It was sold again in 1998 to Jim Ayer of Marblehead, MA, and the current owners purchased the car in 2012.
