Armstrong Siddeley was formed in 1919 from the combination of Sir W. G. Armstrong Whitworth and Company and the Siddeley Deasy Motor Car Co. Ltd. Production occurred at Parkside Coventry, UK, from 1919 until 1960.
Although production volume was low the cars were widely exported and valued for their road handling and performance.
The company produced a wide range of vehicles, from small 12-horsepower family vehicles to the magnificent five-liter Siddeley Special.
This car was originally purchased by the Duke of York. Subsequently, King George VI used it for grouse hunting at Balmoral Castel in Scotland. It resided in the Queen's Transportation Museum at Sandringham, Norfolk, UK until 2015. It was purchased by the current owner at auction in 2015.
