1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertible Roadster

1962 was the last year of the first generation or C1 Corvette. It was the last one with a straight axle and the first one with the 327 cubic inch engine. There is no long story behind this car and in this case that's a good thing. Unlike many Corvettes, it has led a pampered life with owners who were careful to preserve originality. The previous owner was a collector who recognized that unpainted, unrestored vintage Corvettes don't come along every day and deserve preservation. The current owners have been the custodians for the last 20 years making sure the original paint and interior are conserved. The engine is the original 327 and the four-speed makes it fun to drive. It came with and still has a hard and soft top. It has about 58,000 original miles and is still driven on nice days.
