The Packard Model 30 debuted in 1906 powered by a T-head, four-cylinder 432 cubic-inch engine of 30 horsepower. Quality was the watchword in every respect.
This 1910 Packard Model 30 Limousine is equipped with a rear-mounted transmission three-speed manual transmission and two-wheel mechanical brakes. The Limousine body rests on a 123.5-inch wheelbase and has a solid front axle and rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs in both front and rear.
The original owner was Theodore M. Davis, a wealthy collector of Egyptology who famously discovered a new Egyptian tomb every year between 1902 and 1914. In 1956 the car entered the Swigart Auto Museum where it was displayed for nearly sixty years. It has recently received a frame-off restoration, bringing it back to its original configuration. It is one of the oldest Packards in the world.
