1962 Aston Martin DB4 Navigation
This Aston Martin DB4 Series IV Coupe was originally ordered by a New York dealer in November of 1961. It was sold to Mr. James Newman of Maryland in February of 1963. Optional equipment added to the car includes the overdrive, chrome wheels, electric windows, and a Motorola radio.
By the close of 1963, the car had received a complete repaint and the refitting of the right-hand electric window.
Mr. Newman sold the DB4 to Dr. and Mrs. Tukanowis of Pennsylvania in February of 1965. By 1990, the car had been garaged and inspections were maintained through 1999.
In 2004, the current owner's chief restorer spotted the car in the Tukanowis' garage. The current owner immediately offered to purchase the vehicle and sent a truck that day to pick it up. It was found to be in good condition considering its 15-year storage. Restoration efforts began immediately while every effort was made to preserve the original parts. The original color scheme of blue Caribbean Pearl over Fawn leather has been retained.
After the restoration, it was shown at various Concours events. It won 1st place of Best of Show in every British class t entered. In 2007, the car won the Class Championship at the North American AMOC Lime Rock Concours.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2018
