1991 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

The second generation Turbo arrived in 1991, packaged in the Type 964 shell. Porsche claimed that around 87-percent of its parts were new, including the thermoplastic bumper covers and the reshaped nose and tail. The front suspension was also new and the torsions bars were upgraded to coil springs and shocks. The rear suspension retained Porsche's torsion bars and trailing arms. The brakes were cross-drilled and ventilated rotors located at all four corners. The floor pan was revised for the all-wheel drive system developed n the 959 and 961.

Powering the 911 Turbo was the M30/69 engine with a 3,299cc displacement and offered 320 horsepower, thanks to a larger intercooler. The engine had stainless-steel head gaskets, a revised ignition system, and metallic catalyst in the exhaust system.

This particular example was completed on June 21st of 1991. It was ordered in Paint-to-Sample Ferrari Yellow and trimmed in black partial leather. Optional equipment included an electric sunroof, and a limited-slip differential. It also came with additional lumbar support for the driver's seat, a stereo system, and air conditioning.

The current caretaker acquired the car from a Virginia dealer in 2011 with fewer than 11,000 miles from new. Since then, it has been driven about 30 miles per year. Currently it has 12,015 miles from new.
