1957 Triumph TR3 Roadster

The Triumph TR2 was introduced in 1953. It came with cut-down doors, lively performance, and frog-eye headlights. In total, 5,521 examples were exported. In 1955, the TR3 arrived, and the following year, disc brakes were added.

This particular example has the revised- high-port engine and front disc brakes. The current caretaker commissioned a detailed restoration which took five years to complete. All the parts were repaired or replaced with factory-correct items, including a rebuilt engine, gearbox, axles, steering, suspension, and brakes. The car was finished in Racing Green and a custom top was fitted with proper side curtains. The interior was reupholstered in contrasting Stone vinyl with Wilton wool carpets and correct rubber floor mats. Electrical parts were rebuilt or replaced, including gauges and switches, and a new wiring harness and new rubber parts were installed.

Upon completion, this Roadster earned a Best in Class at the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance at Ault Park, and was named Best of Show at the 2016 Triumph Register of America meeting, then earned 99.5 points at the meet in 2017.
