1976 Ferrari 308 GTB Coupe

The successor to the mid-engine Dino series was the 308 GTB, introduced at the 1975 Paris Auto Show and powered by a three-liter V8 engine. The first 712 examples received bodies by Scaglietti in lightweight fiberglass (vetroresina). The European versions were fitted with a dry sump lubrication system derived from competition applications.

This car is a restored, mid-production Vetroresina example and one of approximately 400 left-hand drive versions fitted with the dry sump engine. It wears the color scheme of the Paris show car, Azzurro Metallizzato (Azure Metallic), paint over a tan and black leather interior with blue carpeting. After ten years of minimal use under European owners, it was imported to the United States in 1985 by Aldo Stanisavljevic of Lake Angelus, Michigan. It remained in his care until at least 2001.

By the mid-2000s, ownership passed to Claes Flodin of Kaysville, Utah, and he sold the car later to Michael Call's Cavallino Equipment Group in Salt Lake City. Mr. Call began a comprehensive refurbishment in 2014 that continued when the car was purchased by the current caretaker in January 2015. The work was completed in October 2017. The interior was redone in correct leather upholstery and Wilton wool carpets. The total investment of the three-year project was calculated to be in excess of $200,000.
