1897 Henriod Duc Kellner Navigation
This was the oldest car at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It was built in Switzerland and finished in France with bodywork by Kellner of Paris. Not only is it a very early Kellner-bodied car and the oldest Swiss car in existence, but it also has the distinction of being able to run on either alcohol or gasoline, making it one of the oldest 'eco-friendly' automobiles. With the exception of the upholstery, which had rotted away, every other part of this car is original, from the faded patent-leather winds to the phosphor-bronze engine parts. The car had been in the same French family's ownership from the 1920s to 2002. The owner uses the car often and has entered the last two London to Brighton Veteran Car runs with it.
