1951 Siata Daina 1400 Gran Sport Roadster

Underneath this Stabilimenti Industriali Farina coachwork (Giovanni Carlo Farina's company - which closed its doors in 1953 - and not that of his brother, Battista Farina) is a Siata chassis frame and Dante Giacosa designed Fiat 1395cc OHV inline 4-cylinder engine equipped with a Siata cylinder head, intake manifold and a pair of Weber carburetors that reportedly kicked out 65 horsepower and coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.

Siata Company was founded by Giorgio Ambriosini in 1926 to manufacture tuning parts for Fiats and post-World War II it started making complete cars. Between 1951 and 1953 approximately 100 Daina 1400s - the coupes were bodied by Bertone - were manufactured. Many Siatas came to the United States.
