1970 Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato Coupe

The Alfa Romeo Junior Z - 1300cc and thus Type 105.93 and engine type 00530 - was a limited production 2-seater coupe styled by Ercole Spada and built by Carrozzeria Zagato of Milan. Its steel body, with aluminum hood and door skins, was not specifically designed for racing. Its Giulia 1300 Spider Junior floor pan was shortened at the rear to blend with the short overhang of the Kamm tail. The same Alfa model sourced the 1290cc 103 horsepower, twin-cam motor and 5-speed gearbox. 109 mph was the quoted top speed. Alfa commissioned just over 1100 units; in 1972 the 1600 version was launched. Much like most Zagato design icons there is no middle ground - love it or hate it.
