1964 ISO Rivolta Navigation
Isothermos was founded in Genoa in 1939 and manufactured refrigeration units. Renzo Rivolta acquired the company in 1942 and had it moved to Bresso where it was refounded as Iso Autoveicoli S.p.A in 1953. It gained financial stability after designing and licensing the Isetta to a number of manufacturers including BMW.
Development of the Rivolta soon followed.
Iso produced 797 Rivolta GT300s before production ceased in 1970. They wore styling by Giorgietto Giugiaro for Bertone and were built as a true GT, capable of high-speed, cross-country cruising. Introduced in 1962 at the Turin Auto Show, the Rivolta was powered by a 327 cubic-inch V8 engine from Chevrolet's Corvette. The 300-horsepower engine was sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. At all corners were Borrani knock-off wire wheels.
This particular example is finished in red with a black interior. There are Ruote Borrani knock-off wire wheels, and a newer updated exhaust system.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2018
