1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 SUV

Toyota created the first BJ Series in 1951 at the behest of the United States Army. They had asked Toyota to build an all-terrain-capable light utility vehicle similar to the Jeeps used during World War II. In 1954, the Land Cruiser name first appeared, and quickly earned a reputation for quality, longevity, and toughness. In 1960, Toyota entered the FJ40 Land Cruiser into the fray as an affordable off-road alternative to its western rivals. Along with the FJ40, the FJ45 was also available, a pickup truck bodystyle.

This particular FJ-40 Land Cruiser was given a comprehensive restoration around 2014 and has just 50 miles on its odometer since the work was completed. Its 3.9-liter inline 6-cylinder engine was rebuilt and linked to a 3-speed manual transmissions and 4-wheel drive. It is finished in its original shade of Avocado Green paint with a Burnt Orange upholstery. It has the rare soft top and doors, Warn locking hubs, painted steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, and front tow hooks.
