1993 Porsche 911 RS America Coupe

The Porsche 911 America Roadster was built as a commemorative edition honoring the 1952 Porsche American Roadster race car. It was built in limited-production and it was based on the standard 911 platform, internally designated as the 964 series, but with many significant exterior and mechanical differences. They had an integral windshield frame structurally tied to the main tub. Three major visual cues were used from the Type 964 platform 911 Turbo included the wider fenders, reshaped rocker-panel pieces and 17-inch alloy wheels mounted on low-aspect ratio tires. 911 Turbo brakes were installed along with cross-drilled and vented rotors.

The RS America Roadster came with leather interior, air conditioning, power seats, power windows and a power convertible top. Power was from a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine capable of carrying the car from zero-to-sixty mph in 5.5 seconds.

This particular example is finished in Grand Prix White with a contrasting black convertible top and color-keyed Carrera Cup wheels. The interior features white leather seats offset with black piping. It has a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and currently has 33,565 miles on its odometer. There is a spare set of black-with-chrome-lip Speedline Wheels mounted with Goodyear Eagle tires.
