1937 Cord 812 Navigation
This Cord 812 S/C Cabriolet Sportsman spent most of its life in Canada, beginning with its original owner James Roberston of Montreal. The next owners were of St. Catharines, Canada, first owned by James Secord, then moving on to his son. By the 1990s, it became part of Find Christiansen's collection in Burlington, Canada. The current caretaker acquired the car in 2002 and commissioned RM Auto Restoration to perform a thorough restoration, earning it numerous Best of Show wins. The restoration was completed in 2005, with the car finished in color combination no. 37, Cadet Grey with blue leather upholstery.
This car was selected for the 2007 Phoenix Art Museum's exhibition of streamlined automobiles.
The car is powered by a 289 cubic-inch Lycoming L-Head V-8 engine fitted with Stromberg Twin-Downdraft Carburetor and a Schwitzer-Cummins Centrifugal Supercharger. It has a 4-speed Bendix Electric Vacuum Servo Preselector transmission and 4-wheel Hydraulic drum brakes.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2018
