2012 Lexus LFA Coupe

Lexus introduced the LFA concept in 2005, followed by a prototype versions in 2007 and 2008. The final production version was introduced at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

The Lexus LFA supercar was powered by a 4.8-liter, V-10 engine rated at 560 horsepower and 354 foot-pounds. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic, also known as CFRP, helped the LFA achieve a curb weight of just over 1,480 kg. The front-engined car had a near perfect weight distribution of 48:52. Other exotic materials included carbon fiber, titanium alloys, magnesium, and aluminum.

The Yamaha-developed engine had intelligent variable-valve timing along with titanium valves and connecting rods. The V-10 revved from idle to 9,000 RPM in just six-tenths of a second - so quickly that Lexus used a digital tachometer in place of an analog gauge. The engine was mated to a six-speed automated single-clutch sequential transmission that shifted between gears in less than two-tenths of a second.

This particular Coupe is number 479 of 500 built worldwide. It is finished in Whitest White (079) over black and currently has 120 miles on the odometer. There are silver wheels, red brake calipers, a black cockpit with red accents on the steering wheel, seats, and door-pulls.
