1915 Hudson Model Six-40 Navigation
This particular example is a Model Six-40 Phaeton. It joined the Hostetler Collection in November 2005. Prior to its most recent acquisition, it was owned by Alex McCommas of Tyler, Texas, for whom the car was restored for touring use.
This Model Six-40 is powered by a 288.5 cubic-inch engine mated to a three-speed manual transmission. There are two-wheel mechanical brakes in the rear and a wheelbase that measures 123 inches. It has period-style 'No Skid' tires riding on artillery-style wheels in body color with smart pinstripe accents. There is a Hudson moto-meter, dual side-mounted spares, rear jump seats, a folding top with properly fitted cover, a rear stop-warning light, and a luggage trunk containing an auxiliary crank and miscellaneous tools, belts, and straps.By Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2020
