This Ford Deluxe Phaeton was an AACA National first prize winner in 1981. It is powered by a 221 cubic-inch 21-stude flathead V8 engine fitted with a Stromberg 97 downdraft carburetor and offering 85 horsepower. There is an oil bath air cleaner, 3-speed manual transmission, Banjo steering wheel, floor mounted shifter, and a simulated woodgrain dash. It is finished in maroon with a brown leather interior. It has draft deflectors, rear mounted spare with metal case, a manual folding top, bumper guards, trim rings and Spyder hubcaps, wide whitewall tires, and a V-8 hood mascot.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2019
