1980 Mercury Capri Navigation
This vehicle is the only 1980 Mercury Cosworth Capri produced. It was built by the Ford Motor Company in a joint effort by McLaren Engines, Inc., and mercury Marketing Corp. of America. It was given custom all-steel bodywork by Ron Fournier and has been driven just 468 miles since new. It was owned by the same collector since 1995. The car is powered by a dual overhead cam 1.6-liter BDA Cosworth engine fitted with Dual Weber carburetors and mated to a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. There is a locking differential, functional hood louvers and brake cooling ducts, Koni F81 shocks, and dry sump lubrication. It is finished in bright red with a black leather interior. There are Stewart Warner instruments, heated Recaro seats, original Firestone HPR tires, and Original 3-piece BBS Gold-center wheels.

Following the M-81 Mustang, this experimental vehicle was a study in emissions-legal performance and was never intended to be sold to the public. Its engine was developed close to Formula-Atlantic specifications. The dry-sump-lubrication 1.6-liter unit developed 186 horsepower and has 45 DCOE Weber carburetors. The 2-inch dual exhaust system gave it an epic sound. Zero-to-sixty mph was accomplished in just 6 seconds
