1939 Delage D6-70 Navigation
This 1939 Delage D6-70 Three-Position Drophead Coupe wears coachwork by Figoni et Falaschi and made its debut at the 1939 Concours d'Elegance au Bois di Boulogne where it took the gold medal. It remained with its original owner for decades and survived World War II by hiding away in Portugal. In 1974, it was rediscovered and restored by its second owner. Fifteen years after its discovery in Portugal, it was shown in Paris at Retromobile on the Delage stand. In 2001, it made its way stateside and entered the collection of the current caretaker in 2006.
This Delage has a 2,973cc overhead valve inline 6-cylinder engine with Triple Solex carburetors and produces 130 horsepower. There is a four-speed Cotal Electro-Mechanical manual transmission and four-wheel drum brakes.By Daniel Vaughan | May 2019
