1933 Pierce-Arrow Model 1242 Twelve Convertible Roadster

Pierce-Arrow built 1,843 vehicles of all types for 1933 and 118 of those were the 1242 series. This particular example is a 1242 Twelve Convertible Coupe, one of three to survive. It was given a restoration in California in the early 1990s and in 1995 it earned an AACA National First award, medallion no. 19B0630. In 1999, the car was acquired from Mr. Lassiter by Canadian collector Terry Johnson.

This example is finished in subtle grey best described as Deep Pewter, with blue belt moldings that match the underbody and wheels. There are dual side-mount spare tires in the front fenders, which also carry Pierce-Arrows headlights. The rumble seat and interior are finished in red leather, with matching carpets.
