1978 Porsche 928 Navigation
The Porsche 928 was designed to be a luxury grand tourer that was produced from 1978 to 1995. Originally intended to replace the company's iconic 911, the 928 combined the power, poise, and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury car.
At the time, Porsche executives believed this car would have considerably wider appeal than the compact and sometimes more challenging to drive 911. It has the distinction of being the company's first production V8 powered model and the only coupe powered by a traditional front mounted V8 engine.
This Porsche 928 is a prime example of a first-year model featuring a rare 5-speed manual transmission, sans the common sunroof. It spent 25 years sitting in a barn, recently being meticulously re-commissioned to again be road worthy and enjoyed.
