1925 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Town Car

The Merrimac Body Company of Merrimac, Massachusetts, became part of Rolls-Royce's custom Coachwork Division in 1923. They supplied the Springfield factory with over 420 different bodies, mostly open touring cars, although a few town cars were built, including 70 Mayfair bodies.

This example was first sold to oil tycoon Mr. C.C. Julian in Los Angeles but was then acquired by the Warner Brothers Studios and used in a number of their movies, including British Intelligence starring Boris Karloff and Margaret Lindsey. The studio sold its entire fleet of film cars in 1971 and this Silver Ghost was purchased by collector Eddie Meyer. The Meyer family kept the car until the current owners bought it in 2015. This original and unrestored Silver Ghost from the Silver Screen has all of its service records dating back over 93 years, and the odometer today reads just over 22,500 miles.
