1923 Marmon Model 34 Roadster

This 2-passenger Marmon speedster is believed to have resided in the United States until 1973 when it was exported to England by Antiques Automobile Ltd. Mr. Bernard William acquired it two years later and immediately passed it on to Roy Montague Middleton, owner of the Minardi Formula One racing team. Christophe Brady became its next owner in 1994 and retained it for the next two decades. H&H, the classic automobile auctioneer of Warrington in Cheshire, featured the Model 34 in its catalogue for a sale to be held on April 24th, 2014, at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. It was purchased at auction by its current Belgium owner.

This car's history includes appearances in The Great Gatsby (1974), Reilly, Ace of Spies (1983), and Jeeves and Woodster (1990-1993). It also ran in the Paris-Deauville rally of 1979.

The current owner treated the car to a multi-year renovation, returning it to its original condition. It is currently finished in a blue aluminum exterior with black interior upholstery. The engine is a 340 cubic-inch overhead valve straight-six fitted with a single Carter BB1 carburetor (replacing the Stromberg unit during the renovation). There is a three-speed manual gearbox and four-drum servo-assisted brakes.
