1948 MG TC Roadster

The MG TA arrived in 1936 and came equipped with a 1,292cc overhead-valve engine and would set the MG styling direction for the next two decades. It had an upright grille, deep-cut doors and slab-shaped petrol tank at the rear. The MG TB was introduced in 1939 and came with the shorter-stroke but more-powerful 1,250 cc XPAG engine that went on to power MG's roadsters through 1954.

After the war, MG introduced the TC at the 1945 London Motor Show. It had styling similar to that of its predecessors, the TC was built through 1949 and had a wider body, improved comfort, and a roomier cockpit.

The TC was relatively affordable and were suitable for both the road and the track.

This particular example has been in the care of the same owner for the past decade. It has an older complete restoration and is finished in black paint finish over rich Burgundy upholstery, accented by a chrome radiator grille with red inserts and has a tonneau cover.
