1918 Stutz Series S Navigation
The Stutz Bearcat was first introduced in 1912. These two-seaters were powerful and fast and devoid of bodywork. By 1916, the Bearcat was powered by a new 16-valve engine and had been given refined bodywork, yet still rested on a shortened 120-inch wheelbase.

This Stutz Bearcat is an early Series S model with a well-documented history that dates to April 1918. It was sold by Elliott Motor Company in Gadsden, Alabama, to Robert Foster, who traded in his 1916 Studebaker Roadster against the $2,700 Stutz. Mrs. Foster sold the Stutz, after her husband's death, to Bill and Miles Coverdale, who kept the car until 2000, when it was sold to Robert W. Valpey.

This car is in unrestored condition with the exception of its early 1950s paint and upholstery.
