1947 Delahaye Type 135 M Navigation
This Delahaye 135 M Cabriolet wears coachwork by Henri Chapron. Its older restoration was recently refreshed, and the exterior is finished in a shade of metallic sage green with a three-position drophead convertible top upholstered in dark green. There are bullet-style Marchal headlamps, chrome wire wheels, period-correct Dunlop Fort Blackwall tires, art-deco-inspired bonnet vents, and Marchal fog lamps. The interior is done in dark green leather.
The 3.6-liter inline-six-cylinder engine is equipped with the M-specification triple-carburetor configuration and backed by a Cotal preselect gearbox.
This vehicle was sent to the Parisian carrosserie in March of 1947 as part of a 23-car order by the manufacturer. It was delivered new in Paris to Paul Portes, the personal tailor of Henri Chapron. The car may have come to the United States in the 1960s as it was owned by Colorado resident Bruce Budy in 1964. It is believed that its cosmetic refinishing may have occurred in the 2010s.
