1962 Aston Martin DB4 Fastback Coupe

This Aston Martin DB4 is equipped with the uprated Special Series (SS) engine. As a Series IV car, it has recessed rear lights, a grille with vertical bars, and a lower bonnet scoop. The factory-equipped SS engine has three SU HD8 carburetors, larger valves, and a higher compression ratio that delivers 266 horsepower, nearly 30 horsepower over the standard powerplant. This car was also equipped with the optional overdrive, chrome road wheels, and electric window lifts.

The car was delivered new to Henri Annecorde of Paris through French Aston Martin dealer Mirabeau and much of its early existence is not known. It was later owned by Mr. Le Geuzec, also from Franze. It was later sold into the United Kingdom. By 1988 it was in the care of W.F. Gilbertson-Hart and may have sold it a few years later through Rolls-Royce dealer P&A Wood. In 1990 the car was registered to Ms. Susie Dixon Smith, who then became the married Susannah Mary Harris. It was owned by two additional British owners with one of them returning the DB4 to its original Caribbean Pearl. It entered the care of its current owner in 2006. It has since been given a meticulous restoration to as-new delivery specifications.
