2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 Navigation
In 2005, Aston Martin re-introduced the Vantage nameplate to its lineup. Available in mid-mounted V-8 and V-12 power, the Vantage took advantage of a rear-mounted transaxle which offered impressive 49/51 weight distribution in road-going guise. Competition models soon followed, with Aston martin introducing the V8 Vantage N24 in 2006. It was built to contest the 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race. With extensive modifications, the car had a 4th-place finish in its class at its debut outing.
The cars were upgraded two years later with an upsized 4.7-liter V8 engines and was re-christened the Vantage GT4, as it had become eligible for FIA GT4 competition. It became more suitable for a variety of circuits due to suspension modifications which allowed for increased caster and camber angles. A new Bosch ABS and traction control system were added to the options list.
This particular example is chassis number 048. It was a VIP demonstrator by LG Motorsports veteran Lou Gigliotti. It wears the Aston Martin heritage green with yellow accents around its intake and roof pillars. The current owner has campaigned it in a handful of SCCA Majors, but a majority of its recent use has been on track daysBy Daniel Vaughan | Jan 2020
