1935 Pierce-Arrow 1245 Twelve Coupe

Pierce-Arrow produced 875 cars in 1935 and this particular example is one of two known surviving Model 1245 twelve-cylinder Silver Arrow coupes out of an estimated four units originally built. In the 1990s, Harris Laskey treated the car to a restoration, and was finished in two-tone maroon. Accessories include dual side-mounted spare wheels, an Archer mascot, and twin chrome trumpet horns topped with driving lamps. There are fender-mounted headlights and a canted-back radiator. It rides on beige steel artillery wheels with wide whitewall tires. The wheelbase measures 144 inches and is over six feet tall at the roof. The interior features light brown broadcloth on the seats and door panels, with darker brown carpets and woodwork. There are opening rear windows, individual front seats, and a factory-equipped radio. Power is from a 462 cubic-inch V12 engine that offers 175 horsepower and is backed by a three-speed manual transmission with optional freewheeling.

This Pierce-Arrow is a CCCA National First Prize winner and has appeared at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It won its class at the 1999 Palo Verdes Concours, and was awarded Most Elegant at the Silverado Concours d'Elegance.
