1924 Moon 6-40 Sedan

The Merrick Auto Museum acquired this Moon 6-40 Five-Passenger Sedan in 2013 from Charles Meeker of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In 2003, it received a restoration to the correct specifications. Power is from a Continental 7-U, 196 cubic-inch L-head six-cylinder engine offering 50 horsepower and backed by a three-speed Warner Gear transmission. It is finished in dark blue with black fenders and an upper body. There is a double gold pinstripe below the side molding. The sedan rides on body-color disc wheels with a gold stripe and has 32x4 blackwall tires on demountable rims. Inside, the upholstery is finished in blue cloth, and there are dark blue carpets, and a matching fringed roller shade in the rear window. Braking is handled by Lockheed four-wheel hydraulic brakes.
