1932 Buick Series 90 Sport Phaeton Vehicle Profile

1932 Buick Series 90
Sport Phaeton
1932 was the last year Buick manufactured the 'Sport Phaeton.' It was the lowest production Series 90 cars built that year. Buick built 146 totally, 15 were for export. Cost new $1,675. Only five can now be accounted for.

The Model 95 was the only Series 90 car that was not built by Fisher Body. An important difference in this car is that is has an 'open' not 'convertible,' body built by Buick.

The big news for 1932 was 'Silent Second SynchroMesh' transmission, plus more horsepower for all engines. This car has factory options not frequently seen in 1932, e.g. trunk, stainless steel wire wheels, single bar bumpers, locking trip covers, cigar lighter, tool kit, etc.

The car was shown for the first time in over a quarter of a century at the 2003 Buick Centennial. It is arguably the most beautiful Buick 'Classic Car' ever built.
