1972 Datsun 510 Navigation
One of three Danstun 510s built by Connecticut-based Bob Sharp Racing for the 1972 SCCA championship season. Sharp scored his second B Sedan national title and teammate Jim 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald was third that year with this car that wore the number '38'. Fitzy was ageless and one of the most popular SCCA racers. Today a smiling bust of Fitzy sits in the Jim Fitzgerald Memorial Park at Road Atlanta.
The 510 became the first Japanese 'cult car' and ended Alfa Romeo's stranglehold on the Under 2.0 Liter Trans-Am championship.
