Bizzarrini was an Italian automotive manufacturer founded in the 1960s by Giotto Bizzarrini, a former Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and ISO engineer. The Strada was a gran turismo automobile produced by the company between 1964 and 1968. It was powered by a Chevrolet small-block 327 Corvette engine that produced 365 hp in street form. Approximately 120 GT 5300 Stradas were produced.
This car was originally sold to Carey Loftin who was a well-known Hollywood stunt driver during the 1960s and 70s. Loftin insisted that his Bizzarrini have cameo appearances in his movies. As a result, this car appears in famous movies such as Bullitt, Herbie the Love Bug, The Split and The Challengers, among others.
A nine-year restoration was completed in Texas in 2019 supervised by the world's foremost Bizzarrini authority from Belgium as well as master coachbuilders and other professional restorers to ensure that this Bizzarrini remains historically correct in all aspects.
